Center for Behavioral Health — Outpatient Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services

Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services

The Center for Behavioral Health Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services Unit provides treatment for youths struggling with emotional illness or substance abuse. A secure, structured environment is the setting for treatment before the patient moves to a less restrictive environment for additional care. Involuntary services for adolescent substance abusers are also available.

Outpatient Off-Site Services

A variety of programs are offered for children and teenagers who may be using alcohol or illegal drugs due to problems at school or in the home. Outpatient Off-Site Services provides prevention programs, therapy and referrals through community outreach for eligible children and their families. When needed, individual and family therapy and related services are provided. Ongoing treatment and support for one year helps keep each patient on track.

Pediatric Mental Health Consultation Services

For young children who have emotional disorders, medications and therapies should be appropriate for each patient's age and size. Mental health assistance and resources to help patients and families are available.
