Specialty Infusion Center

The Specialty Infusion Center at Memorial Regional Hospital is designed to provide high-quality, effective adult outpatient infusion services in privacy and comfort. All care is delivered by registered nurses who are specially trained and experienced in advanced infusion treatment and the various types of venous access devices.

Infusion therapy is available for many debilitating disorders. The Specialty Infusion Center treats a wide variety of conditions, including immune deficiencies, dehydration, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, Crohn's disease, irritable bowel disease, osteoporosis, anemia, thrombocytopenia and other illnesses.

Services

Administration of Intravenous (IV) Infusions

  • Antibiotics
  • Remicade®, Reclast®, Prolia®
  • Steroids
  • Hydration
  • Other specialty medications
  • Various injections

Administration of Special Testing

  • Ischemic muscle testing
  • Arginine growth hormone stimulation testing

Other Services

  • Placement of Foley catheters, mainteneance of venous access devices and ports

To register, patients are required to have a physician's prescription detailing the medication, dosage, route of administration and duration of treatment, or a physician's prescription listing the desired testing or procedure.

Patients should check in at Memorial Regional Hospital's Outpatient Services entrance.
The Specialty Infusion Center is located on the fourth floor.
